Haryana gets new road projects
The Union Road Transport and Highways Ministry has recently cleared road projects worth ₹348 crore for Haryana under the Central Road Funds (CRF) scheme, said an official spokesperson, adding that the projects included the widening and strengthening of four roads with a length of 132.49 km. The approval also included the four laning of Karnal-Kaithal-Khanauri state highway-08A where the project in question entailed an investment of ₹175 crore. Apart from this, a sum of ₹34 crore has been approved for widening, raising and strengthening of Kaithal Dhand road, reconstruction of old bypass and the construction of new bypass at Dhand in Kaithal district. Similarly, a sum of ₹70 crore has been approved for widening and four laning from Kond-Munak-Salwan-Assandh road in Karnal district and ₹69 crore has been cleared for widening and strengthening of Nilokheri-Karsa-Dhand road in the same district, he claimed.
