Harsh Malhotra reviews progress of Delhi Dehradun Expressway

Union Minister of State for Corporate Affairs, Road, Transport, and Highways, Shri Harsh Malhotra, reviewed the progress of the Delhi Dehradun Expressway with NHAI officials and local representatives. He expressed satisfaction with the progress and emphasized the expressway's role in decongesting East Delhi's Gandhi Nagar area and reducing the load on the Delhi Meerut Expressway. He stressed the importance of timely completion.

During an inspection of National Highway 709B, the Minister addressed water logging issues caused by a stagnated master drain. He directed the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to coordinate with MCD/PWD for necessary actions.

The Minister also responded to residents' concerns, directing NHAI to ensure development work does not disrupt local life. He ordered the addition of two U-turns near Geeta Colony and assured that a green belt would be developed under the flyover.

For Sonia Vihar residents, the Minister promised to shift the toll plaza 300 meters towards Uttar Pradesh to exempt locals from toll tax. He also assured the rechanneling of a drain from Uttar Pradesh.

In Sabhapur village, the Minister directed immediate action on water logging issues, review of pipelines, and construction of a service road for better connectivity.
