Gujarat infuses Rs.800 cr in infra projects

While announcing a flurry of infrastructure projects for Ahmedabad, the state government has cleared Rs.592 crore for the Ahmedabad Metro project and also over Rs.200 crore for various other projects, Deputy CM, Nitin Patel said. He further added that the Metro rail project would help in mitigating the traffic problems and strengthening urban transport system in Ahmedabad city. In addition to this, the government has also made provision of Rs.100 crore for bio-mining project at Pirana dumping site, and Rs.65 crore for a split flyover bridge at Pallav Char Rasta and a provision of Rs.25 crore for Gandhigram Railway Underpass, besides Rs.20 crore for the construction of World Heritage City Museum. These apart, Ahmedabad will also get funds under the Smart City Mission, Shaheri Awas Yojana, and Amrut Yojana, he added.
