Zuari Bridge Project
Adding to the state's road infrastructure, the transport ministry is all set to take up the construction work on the new Zuari bridge project in Goa at an investment worth Rs. 2,700-cr very shortly. The mega project contains scope of work on the 640-metre-long, eight-lane cable-stayed bridge across the Zuari River and also on the 450-metre-long elevated approach road, revealed official sources, elaborating that Madhya Pradesh-based Dilip Buildcon Limited, a leading private sector road-focused engineering procurement construction company, has won the contract to construct a 640-long, eight-lane cable-stayed bridge across the Zuari River. It may be recalled that the work order for the project has been issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, which has also issued the work orders to the contractors and on this score, allied work such as equipment mobilisation and soil testing has already begun, they added.
