Govt announces 280-km-long Chambal Expressway between Rajasthan & Madhya Pradesh

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced the Chambal Expressway road project to facilitate traffic movement between Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Gadkari informed that the 280-km-long expressway will be constructed at a cost of ₹6,000 crore and it will go parallel to the Chambal river via Shivpuri, Bhind, Morena to Kota (Rajasthan). It will connect the North-South Corridor to the East-West Corridor and will lead to the overall development of the area. It will be 85-km-long in Rajasthan and 195-km in Madhya Pradesh. At least 80% of the land belongs to the government and work will start soon.
