In an encouraging development in the country’s real estate sector, Godrej Properties Limited (GPL) has announced that its township project in Ahmedabad, Godrej Garden City has received the Indian Green Building Council-Green Residential Society (IGBC-GRS) Platinum certification. The coveted award, IGBC-GRS is recognized as the highest rating for residential societies. With this achievement, Godrej Garden City becomes the largest township in India to be GRS Platinum certified. Garden City is located off SG Highway in Ahmedabad, and is within Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) limits. The project is currently home to over 1,500 families and has a fully-functional international school, a city square retail facility, a 70,000-sq-ft club house, as well as facilities for healthcare, recreation, hospitality and banking.
