Goa gets ₹128-cr highway upgrades

The Union transport ministry has approved eight roads and highway projects entailing a combined investment of ₹128.66 crore in Goa. The projects involve the construction and upgrading of 39.7 km of highways in the state. The Road Transport and Highway Minister, Nitin Gadkari, informed that one of the projects is for the construction of four-laning of the existing 2-lane section of Ribandar bypass of NH-748 (Old NH-4A) at a cost of ₹53.27 crore. Similarly, other projects include strengthening sections of Panjim - Mangalore highway on NH-66 entailing an investment of ₹44.8 crore.
