Goa clears 8-lane road & highway project

The Goa government has approved the 8-lane road project along NH-4 from Khandepar to Molem and Molem to Anmod Ghat in the Dharbandora taluka of the state. PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar said that construction will be undertaken after the complete relocation of the existing houses, shops, panchayat house and schools are relocated. The government has identified an area in Kasaulim in Dharbandora taluka to relocate the affected buildings. The state has made rapid strides in sectors like healthcare, education, infrastructure, industry and human development. The government recently laid the foundation stone to set up waste treatment plant at Cacora-Curchorem at a cost of ₹145 crore; after its commissioning all waste generated in the taluka will be sent to this plant for processing.
