In view of an easy access to the world class infrastructure and allied facilities matching global standards, the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) has turned out to be the finest facilities in India for global players. As after financial institutions, mainline global players engaged in Information Technology (IT) and IT Enabled Service (ITeS) firms like Oracle, Maxim Integrated and Befree have also started their operations in the mega city. In totality, Maxim Integrated is a $2 billion US-based solutions company and Befree is a leading book-keeping player from Australia. The IT and financial hub at Gandhinagar has also seen the likes of e-commerce player Infibeam and (n) Code Solutions either acquiring space or setting up Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) facility in GIFT City. As a matter of fact, Infibeam is currently in advance stages of commencing its corporate office and overall back office operations, while (n) Code Solutions — a subsidiary of GNFC has set up a PKI facility to offer digital signature certificate & a range of PKI-based solutions in the GIFT City. Companies like QX Corporate, Iship Design and Accvell Technologies too have established their presence in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) area of GIFT City for export of various IT enabled services. In fact, the city is in receipt of interest from score of other globally reputed companies for setting up their large-scale operations in GIFT City and many of them are expected to commence their services very shortly, Managing Director & Group CEO, GIFT City, Ajay Pandey, said.
