GKC Projects
The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has awarded the second Brahmani River Bridge project to Hyderabad-based GKC Projects at an investment of ₹381.75 crore. The project in question, which is slated to be completed by November 2020, is a six-lane bridge with a total length of 29.1 km, Chief General Manager and Regional Officer of NHAI, Dharmananda Sarangi said, adding that the delay was largely due to forest clearance by the Ministry of Environment and Forest (MoEF). The construction of six more bridges over Brahmani is currently underway in Bonai in Sundargarh, Barkot in Deogarh and Sarang in Dhenkanal and at three places in Jajpur district – Jajpur Road, Jenapur and Jarka will start very shortly.
