The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has decided to build ₹600 crore infra projects under Strategic Road Development Program (SRDP) Phase-I, informed Commissioner M Dana Kishore. The civic body has arranged for ₹3,000 crore under rupee term loan and the funds would be credited into the GHMC account shortly for fast tracking the projects. That apart, all the ongoing works pertaining to underpass, flyovers and other structures would also be completed on a fast track basis. Directions were issued to the officials to set targets for completion of each project and execute the work accordingly. Land acquisition, which is a major challenge for executing SRDP works, is being completed on a war footing. Officials have been directed to conduct special awareness programs on the benefits of Transferable Development Rights (TDR) to facilitate building and land owners to offer parts of their land without any apprehensions.
