GDA launches twin road projects

Ghaziabad Development Authority Twin Road
Ensuring smooth movement of vehicular traffic in areas connecting the district with NOIDA, the Ghaziabad Development Authority has decided to build two roads connecting NH-24 and adjoining satellite townships of NOIDA. The proposed stretches will help decrease traffic on these routes and will operate below the Hindon elevated road. In addition, the authority has also planned to construct a major connecting road from Vasundhara canal exit, near river Hindon, up to the existing Pushta Road which culminates near Chijarsi exit, over NH-24, next to Noida. Since the Pushta Road terminates near Kanawani, it is hardly used by commuters travelling under the bridge near river Hindon towards NH-24. With this, commuters from Vasundhara and city areas will be able to directly move to Chijarsi exit over NH-24, said an official spokesperson, adding that the connecting road to Pushta Road, motorists will be able to save time and avoid peak hour rush towards NH-24. Currently, those coming from city areas, including Meerut, have to move towards the Kanawani exit through canal road and take CISF-Vasundhara road towards NH-24 which in turn cause peak office hours rush on the CISF-Vasundhara road, a major connecting link to NH-24.
