Ghaziabad Development Authority has decided to build an elevated road starting from Hindon to Noida's DND flyway at an investment of ₹649 crore. Consultants hired for preparing a feasibility report, have recommended one out of three options as per which the extension will take the Hindon canal route and cover a distance of and will affect fewer structures, revealed chief engineer, GDA, VN Singh. The route will start from UP Gate near NH-9 passing through Hindon canal, Gazipur, Kondli, Gazipur drain, Dharamshala road and onward to New Ashok Nagar crossing before meeting the DND flyway in Noida.
