GDA clears four-lane flyover project

Maharashtra Road Projects
In order to ensure smooth movement of vehicular traffic in the area, the GDA has given the green signal for the construction of a four-lane flyover at the busy Raj Nagar Extension crossing, which is expected to reduce the massive traffic snarls witnessed on either sides of the stretch during peak hours. The Authority has called upon UP State Bridge Corporation to prepare a detailed report for the project where the alignment of the flyover will be along NH-58. It has been left entirely upon the government agency to set a deadline for submitting the project report. The cost of constructing of the flyover will be estimated only after the nodal agency receives the project report, said GDA chief engineer SC Dwivedi, adding that officials the project cost will be met from the city's own infrastructure development fund.
