Gadkari Announces ₹10 Lakh Cr Plan to Widen 30,000 km of Highways

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has unveiled a massive infrastructure expansion plan to convert 25,000 to 30,000 km of two-lane highways into four lanes, with an estimated investment of ₹10 lakh crore.
Highlighting the crucial role of infrastructure in national development, he said the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways will leverage the Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT) model to attract domestic investment for funding the initiative.
