G Square Group Announces 714-Acre Seven Hills Township in Coimbatore

G Square Group has announced G Square Seven Hills, a massive 714-acre township project in Coimbatore, featuring premium plots and mixed-use development. The group acquired the project, formerly known as Kovai Hills, from Rakindo for ₹707 crore, marking another major investment that positions Coimbatore as a growing real estate hub.

The township’s Phase 1 covers 406 acres with 3,127 DTCP and RERA-approved plots, while the remaining 308 acres are planned for joint ventures involving villa and apartment developments, built-to-suit IT infrastructure, commercial leasing, malls, multiplexes, and business parks. The project is located along the Western Ghats near the Palakkad Gap in Kovaipudhur, adjacent to Madukkarai, spanning Perur, Chettipalayam, Sundakkamuthur, and Theethipalayam. Its elevated location offers panoramic views of Coimbatore and a naturally cooler microclimate due to its proximity to reserve forests.

The launch follows several high-profile investments in Coimbatore, including Astrea Real Estate Developers' (a Phoenix Mills subsidiary) purchase of 9.03 acres for retail development, L&T’s IT park project, and Capgemini’s investment at Elcot SEZ, which is generating over 1,500 new jobs. G Square Seven Hills is expected to further boost Coimbatore’s real estate growth and attract early investors seeking long-term appreciation.
