Commanding a whopping order book for Rs.8,000 crore and many more infra projects are likely to come to its fold with the government's focused thrust on infrastructure, Essar Projects bets big on the emerging business avenues in the current fiscal. The company has already commissioned 10 projects of Rs.2,862 crore in the just concluded financial year and earned healthy revenue of about Rs.2,000 crore in the same fiscal year. The company is very confident of even better performance in the new financial year, chief operating officer, AV Amarnath said, adding that the Indian market is poised for bigger opportunities given the increased focus of the government of the day to match huge infra deficit in various sectors including road, rail, port, airport, and power sectors.
