Riedelsheimer expands fleet with Liebherr LTM 1055-3.3 mobile crane

“We needed a crane in exactly this class. The LTM 1055-3.3 is a compact and manoeuvrable machine. It features the modern LICCON3 crane control system and the VarioBase Plus variable outrigger system with wider rear outriggers, which provides significantly higher lifting capacities in these working areas,” explains company owner Marcus Riedelsheimer. “Numerous axle load variants make it easier for us to obtain comprehensive permits. This means we are well prepared should regulations become stricter in our region too.”
The LTM 1055-3.3 is the lightest 3-axle all-terrain crane on the market. Thanks to its lightweight construction, it can operate with axle loads of less than 9 tonnes and – depending on the configuration – a gross vehicle weight of less than 26 tonnes. At the same time, its long telescopic boom delivers high lifting capacities, particularly at medium and long reaches
Marcus Riedelsheimer started out modestly in 1995 with a small construction equipment hire business. Today, he heads a group of companies with around 65 employees. The company’s core activities include a wide range of construction services, extending to turnkey construction, a precast concrete plant and a mobile crane service.
The new LTM 1055-3.3 rounds off the mobile crane fleet at the lower end of the range and is intended in particular for the installation of lighter precast concrete elements. However, it will also be used for prefabricated house assembly and as a ‘taxi crane’ for day-to-day operations. Marcus Riedelsheimer has relied on Liebherr mobile cranes for many years: “Our entire fleet consists of Liebherr machines. As the operation and controls are very consistent, our operators can be deployed flexibly across different machines . The proximity to the Liebherr plant in Ehingen naturally also plays a decisive role. Faults or breakdowns can be rectified at short notice by the nearby after-sales service.”
