DPR ready for 464-km Raipur-Visakhapatnam corridor

Raipur-Visakhapatnam corridor
The Union minister for road transport and highways informed that the Detailed Project Report for the Raipur-Visakhapatnam economic corridor has been completed. The land acquisition for a major part of the project has been completed and currently, the ministry is in the process of securing forest and environmental clearances. The entire stretch is a greenfield alignment, passing through 124 km in Chhattisgarh, 240 km in Odisha, and 100 km in Andhra Pradesh. The 464-kilometre-long stretch will start from Abhanpur, near Raipur and will go till Sabbavaram on the outskirts of Visakhapatnam and the mega road project is slated to be commissioned by the end of the 2023-24 fiscal.
