DMRC Proposes 18 New Metro Corridors Under Phase-V

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has proposed 18 new Metro corridors spanning 206.5 km under Phase-V and submitted the plan to the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for approval.
The proposal includes four entirely new corridors—Mayapuri to Kashmiri Gate, CGO Complex to Surya Vihar (Faridabad), Mayur Vihar Phase-3 to Loni Border, and Najafgarh to Nangloi—while the remaining 14 are extensions of existing lines. Once operational, the expansion will enhance connectivity across Delhi and its suburbs, easing congestion and improving public transport accessibility.
Phase V is structured into two segments: Phase V (A), which includes three corridors with completed Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), and a second stage comprising 15 corridors. The project will feature 128 stations, with 115 km of elevated tracks (79 stations) and the rest underground. The longest corridor will run from Ballabgarh to Palwal, while the Mayur Vihar Phase-3 to Loni Border corridor (21 km) will be the second longest.
