Delhi Metro Renames Three Stations to Improve Local Connectivity & Passenger Convenience

Delhi-Metro
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced the renaming of three metro stations in Delhi to improve passenger convenience and better reflect local identities.

Under this update, the Pitampura Metro Station on the Red Line, which will serve as an interchange station once the RK Puram–Janakpuri corridor of the Magenta Line (Phase IV) becomes operational, will now be called “Madhuban Chowk Metro Station.”

The under-construction North Pitampura station in QU Block has been renamed “North Pitampura–Prashant Vihar Metro Station,” while the proposed Pitampura North Metro Station will now be known as “Haiderpur Village Metro Station.”

All three stations fall under the RK Puram–Janakpuri corridor, which is expected to be opened to the public next year, further improving connectivity in North and West Delhi.
