Delhi High Court Suspends PGCIL Tender Ban on KEC International; Allows Participation in Ongoing Bids

Power-Infrastructure
KEC International received major relief after the Delhi High Court put Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd’s (PGCIL) nine-month tender restriction on the company in abeyance. The court has also allowed KEC to continue participating in all ongoing bids, including those floated by PGCIL.

PGCIL had barred KEC International from taking part in its tenders through an order issued on November 18, 2025. Challenging this, the company filed a writ petition before the Delhi High Court. After hearing the matter, the court on December 17, 2025, communicated to the company on December 19, stayed the PGCIL order until the issuance of a fresh or supplementary order that addresses all submissions made by KEC in response to PGCIL’s show-cause notice.

Until PGCIL completes this process, KEC International remains eligible to participate in ongoing tendering activities.

The company reiterated its commitment to the highest standards of corporate governance, ethics, and regulatory compliance.
