Defence Minister Inaugurates 75 BRO Projects Worth ₹2,236 Cr

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has inaugurated 75 Border Roads Organisation (BRO) road and bridge projects, valued at ₹2,236 crore. These projects span across 11 border states and union territories, including Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Key highlights include seven road and 12 bridge projects in J&K, costing ₹731.22 crore. Major road projects include Bishnah-Kaulpur-Khojipur (₹73.26 crore), Basoli-Bani-Bhaderwah (₹97.76 crore), and Bandipur-Gurez (₹230.54 crore). Additionally, 12 bridges, costing ₹51.21 crore, have been completed in various areas of J&K.
The inauguration covers 22 roads, 51 bridges, and two other projects, constructed in challenging weather conditions and difficult terrains. Rajnath Singh commended the BRO's efforts in delivering 111 infrastructure projects this year, highlighting the organization's commitment and determination in enhancing connectivity in remote areas.
