Decks cleared for Bridge on Ghaggar River in Panchkula
The Punjab Government has in-principle approved construction of a bridge over Ghaggar River in sectors 26-27 and 20-21 in Panchkula on the outskirts of Chandigarh. The bridge and connecting roads fall under the jurisdiction of Haryana, while a portion falls in Punjab. The CM also directed the HSVP to explore the possibilities of construction of a road linking the NH-73 and International Airport in Chandigarh to provide direct connectivity to areas like Barwala, Raipur Rani and Naraingarh, among others localities in the state.
