Decks cleared for ₹230-cr Tidel Park in TN

Outer Ring Road project
After a series of legal hurdles and delays, construction of the over two decades old Outer Ring Road project is set to start shortly and is expected to be commissioned as quickly as possible. The project has paved the way for setting up the proposed ₹230 crore smart Tidel Park at Pattabiram. K Pandiarajan, Minister for Tamil Development, Tamil Culture and Archaeology, said that the Outer Ring Road is key for the development of Tidel Park 3, which will come up in an area of 5.57 lakh sqft and will generate a lot of jobs. The state CM laid the foundation for the park through video-conferencing recently. Now, in the wake of the High Court passing a judgment over land acquisition, the 200-m stretch will be completed soon, added Pandiarajan. This is the first Tidel Park to be developed by the AIADMK government. The Outer Ring Road would comprise an IT corridor for North Chennai as Rajiv Gandhi Salai has been for South Chennai. The smart Tidel Park will use Internet of Things (IoT) and will have three blocks where the first will be a 21-storey building with a hanging garden.
