DDA unveils multi facet hubs across metro stations
As a part of its Transit Oriented Development (TOD) policy, Delhi Development Authority has decided to develop high-density commercial-cum-residential areas around the busy Delhi Metro stations. These include in areas like Mayur Vihar Extension, Dwarka Sector 21, Rohini Sector 18, Mukundpur, Sarojini Nagar and INA. This will reduce congestion and pollution on Delhi roads. The hubs will be built by private developers as per the guidelines of DDA and the Unified Traffic and Transportation Infrastructure (Planning & Engineering) Centre. Builders will develop them either on their own or form a consortium with other developers. They will have to submit detailed plans and designs to a committee comprising of officials of the land-owning body and local civic agencies. Once the NoC is given, work will commence under the supervision of DDA.
