DDA fixes Rs. 8,415-cr projects on radar

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) in a recent move, has cleared 35 new land development schemes and seven housing related real estate projects at an estimated investment of Rs. 8,415cr. The funds have been earmarked in its budget for the 2017-18 fiscal projecting a growth of 62% over revised estimate for 2016-17 at Rs. 5,202cr. Among the key proposals made in the budget are 35 new land development schemes and seven new housing and related development works. Other housing schemes that have been undertaken at Dwarka, Jasola, Rohini, Vasant Kunj, Narela, Jahangir Puri, Kondli, and Bakkarwala and also master plan for roads currently under execution in areas like Rohini, Narela, Bakkarwala are included in the budget proposals. While infrastructure development covered for four places like Rohini, UER-II (Urban Extension Road) connecting canal to railway line to Mundka NH-10, UER-I, and GT Karnal Road to Western Yamuna Canal. Two integrated freight complexes at Gazipur and Narela have also been proposed in the budget, DDA said in an official statement.
