DDA approves MMI for 40 metro stations under Phase-III

Metro Station Project
DDA’s planning body UTTIPEC has approved Multi-Modal Integration (MMI) plans for 40 stations of the Phase-3 metro lines, giving priority to pedestrian facilities to promote walk-ability and reduced dependency on Intermediate Para Transit (IPT) for last mile connectivity in the national capital. The decision on this score was recently taken at a meeting chaired by Lt Governor, Delhi, Anil Baijal. The implementation of MMI on Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) stations got approvals in the presence of several officials of the Unified Traffic and Transportation Infrastructure (Planning & Engineering) Centre (UTTIPEC) and other departments. The Governor directed DMRC to prepare the detailed MMI plans of the remaining metro stations and start execution in these 40 stations in consultation with the traffic police, transport department and the Public Works Department. In the meeting, DMRC informed that they have submitted 40 revised drawings of MMI to UTTIPEC based on actual site conditions and updated traffic surveys.
