DBL wins ₹1,250-cr expressway project in UP

In a recent development in the country's road and highway sector, Dilip Buildcon (DBL) has received letter of acceptance (LoA) for Gorakhpur Link Expressway Project involving an investment of ₹1,250 crore. The scope of work envisages development of Gorakhpur Link Expressway Project (Package-II) from Fulwariya (Ambedkar Nagar district) to Salarpur (Azamgarh) from 47.500 km to 90.535 km and fully access-controlled, four-lane (expandable to six lanes) divided carriageway. The estimated time of completion of the project is 36 months. The length of the road project is 43.035 km and for carrying the cultural and commercial values from Gorakhpur to Azamgarh and vice-versa, government has decided to construct this Link Expressway. The expressway will provide faster connectivity and better commuting experience as well as help in getting the population of affected areas closer and that the project will be implemented on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Mode.
