Shortly after commissioning the port side container facility of the Container Corporation of India (Concor) at Krishnapatnam Port, the infra building company has fast tracked the construction of Multi-Modal Logistics Parks (MMLPs) in Visakhapatnam and Kakinada. The port has already acquired 140 acres at Krishnapatnam for setting up the MMLP and is in the process of acquiring 24 acres more for expansion purposes of the facility. With Concor on-board, Krishnapatnam will now be able to ensure a new level of smooth processing, quick turnaround, and easy throughput of cargo,' CEO, Krishnapatnam Port Company, Anil Yendluri, said in a statement, adding that the facility is expected to foster trade, boost industrial growth, and help in development of the region.
