CMRL to Build Skywalk Connecting Phase-I & II at Vadapalani

Chennai Metro Rail Ltd (CMRL) has announced plans to construct a 130-metre-long skywalk at Vadapalani station to seamlessly link the Phase-I and Phase-II metro corridors. The six-metre-wide covered walkway will improve commuter connectivity, particularly for those travelling between Poonamallee and Chennai Central.

Designed for all-weather convenience, the skywalk will provide a smooth transition between the two phases. Bids for construction have been invited, and the project is expected to be completed within nine months of contractor finalisation.
