An offshore player, CIMIC Group Company Leighton Asia, with its headquarters in Australia and engaged in infra and construction segments, through its subsidiary Leighton India Contractors, has recently secured deal worth $169.5 million to build a retail and hospitality project in Mumbai. The company in question has entered into an agreement to deliver phases two and three of the Maker Maxity project, which is expected to generate revenue of over $169.5 million for Leighton Asia and it is likely to be executed by 1919. The Maker Maxity project is a premium mixed use development located in the Bandra Kurla Complex, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Marcelino Fernandez Verdes said, reiterating that the award illustrates Leighton Asia's reputation in India for delivering excellent results as the project in question is a major achievement in a competitive market. Commenting on the development, Managing Director, Leighton Asia, Manuel Alvarez Munoz said that the player is delighted to secure its first major project with the Maker Group, one of India's most prestigious players.
