Chhattisgarh plans Rs. 326-cr bridge projects

In an attempt to ensure smooth movement of vehicular traffic, the state government in Chhattisgarh under the Setu Bhartamya Scheme, proposed to build five Rail-over-Bridges (RoBs) across state at a cost of Rs. 326.21cr. In this connection, a detailed plan has been forwarded to the Union Ministry and the moment the approval is received for these RoBs, the construction works will be initiated at the earliest. The RoBs, which are being constructed include-Hadaband RoB and Belsonda RoB on Mahasamund-Khariar railway section at a cost of Rs. 41.73-cr and Rs. 77.85-cr respectively; Keshlur RoB on Jagdalpur-Sukma-Konta railway section at Rs. 91.38cr; Belbahara RoB on Manendragarh-Surajpur rail section at Rs. 67.75cr; Jainagar RoB on Surajpur-Ambikapur rail section at Rs. 47.50cr, said official sources.
