Chhattisgarh will soon witness the commencement of four major railway projects, as announced by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. The CM has urged the union minister to expedite the work on these significant projects: Dharamjaigarh-Pathalgaon-Lohardaga, Ambikapur-Barwadih, Kharsia-Naya Raipur-Parmalaksa, and Rowghat-Jagdalpur new rail line projects.

The Dharamjaigarh-Pathalgaon-Lohardaga project, spanning 240 kilometers, will enhance connectivity between northern Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand, linking towns such as Pathalgaon, Kunkuri, Jashpur Nagar, and Gumla. Work on the Korba-Dharamjaigarh project is already in progress, with plans to connect the industrial Korba region to Lohardaga, thereby boosting regional connectivity to central India through Korba and Ranchi in the east. The estimated cost for this project is about ₹16,000 crore.
