Centre injects ₹1,813 cr in Telangana's rail network

The Union railway ministry has provided ₹1,813 crore to build a world-class rail network in Telangana and that the allocated funds are up from an average of ₹258 crore it used to receive annually, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said, claiming that the Centre is undertaking these projects with speed and skill. The minister also flagged off the extended Kacheguda- Nizamabad passenger train up to Karimnagar and also dedicated some of the initiatives and passenger amenities by the South Central Railway to the nation. The South Central Railway (SCR) has become the first railway zone in the country to complete 100% LED lighting at across stations under its jurisdiction.
