The Centre government has approved projects worth ₹740 billion towards ensuring an improved water supply, sewerage and drainage network, Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri said, detailing that under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation Under (AMRUT) over 2,400 projects have been targeted towards ensuring an improved water supply, sewerage, and drainage have been approved under the state annual action plans for 2015-2020. Among others, the government has committed to build top-class road infrastructure together with allied facilities in urban clusters across the country so as to provide facilities to the inhabitants on par with the top cities in the county.
