Cabinet clears Indo-German MoU in rail sector

In a recent cabinet meet chaired by the Prime Minister, a MoU between Railway Ministry with Germany's DB Engineering and Consulting GMBH for infrastructure building and technological cooperation in the country's rail sector, was approved. The ministry said in an official statement said that the MoU has been inked for technological cooperation enabling cooperation in multiple areas. According to a Cabinet press release, the MoU will enable cooperation in areas including infrastructure building, operations of freight train services, automotive transport, cross-border transport and logistics, operations of passenger train services including high-speed trains and cross-border traffic as well as management including dedicated freight corridors (DFCs) and development of railway stations
