Cabinet Approves ₹10,900-Cr PM E-DRIVE Scheme for Green Mobility

The cabinet has approved a ₹10,900 crore PM E-DRIVE scheme to boost electric mobility, replacing the FAME initiative. Over two years, the scheme will support 25 lakh two-wheelers, 3.16 lakh three-wheelers, and 14,028 electric buses. Additionally, ₹3,435 crore has been allocated to ensure uninterrupted operation of 38,000 electric buses across cities. The scheme offers subsidies of ₹3,679 crore for electric vehicles, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, e-ambulances, and e-trucks.
