BMC starts construction of ₹160-cr flyover

BMC
The construction work on extending the Mrinal Tai Gore flyover in Goregaon West to Relief Road in Oshiwara is set to start shortly. The 1.4-km flyover has been extended from Ram Mandir Road to SV Road in Goregaon West to provide smooth commuting from Western Express Highway in Goregaon West to Oshiwara Link Road in seven minutes flat, cutting down the travel time by 53 minutes, said Satish Thosar, Executive Engineer in BMC‘s bridge department. He informed that the work order has been issued and the Rs 160 crore project will take three years to be completed. There are four big signals—SV Road in Goregaon, two at Ram Mandir junction and one at Oshiwara SV Road. The biggest advantage for residents of Goregaon is that Ram Mandir Road signal will be bypassed and the Goregaon entry point will become traffic-free.
