Blueprint ready for 384-km Amaravati-Anantapuramu e-way
An alignment for a new 384-km expressway connecting capital city Amaravati to Anantapuramu has been finalized, said transport ministry sources. The alignment will develop the expressway initially as a four-lane with a provision for upgrading to an eight-lane, depending on the traffic volumes. The government of Andhra Pradesh has agreed to transfer the government land free of cost and bear 50 per cent of the cost of the land to be acquired and has also committed to obtaining the requisite statutory clearances including environmental, forest and wildlife departments to fast track the mega road project.
