Bihar gets 20-km four-lane elevated e-way project

Elevated Road Corridor
The state government has recently started the groundwork for the construction of a four lane elevated expressway from Danapur to Bihta in Bihar, said sources, claiming that the Centre has asked the state government to bear half of the project cost. The National Highways Authority of India is supposed to construct the 20-km four-lane elevated road to provide expressway connectivity to a civil enclave proposed to be developed at the airbase of Indian Air Force at Bihta for the purpose of commercial flight operations, an announcement in this regard was made by Union minister of transport, Nitin Gadkari. The state CM, Nitish Kumar has recently asked the officials concerned to go ahead with preparation of detailed project report (DPR) for the proposed expressway. The Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam Limited (BRPNNL) has started the process of selecting an agency for preparation of the DPR, official sources added.
