BIAL launches extensive expansion

After partnering with Eicher Trucks & Buses for the earthworks, Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL) has recently launched a major expansion of its second terminal T2, second runway and corresponding upgrades. In the project, Eicher's support includes 46 Pro 6025T model Tippers which are plying in this site (SVEC Customer - 30 units & RBR Customer 16 units) and on-site 4-container full-fledged service support provided by VECV dealers. Additionally, Eicher has provided a dual container setup along with a 50 X 50 workshop covered setup to accommodate 4 tippers at a time for service. The new runway is intended to cater to all type of aircraft in all weather conditions with an associated parallel taxiway, two cross field taxiways on the east connecting the new runway to the existing north runway, T1 apron. The project is expected to be ready by September 2019. In the past, Eicher has been a regular contributor to support the Karnataka government infrastructure projects like Kandikatkur in Karimnagar Irrigation site in Telangana state for Sri Rajarajeshwari Construction (a total of 75 Pro 8000 and Pro 6000 Tippers are operating.
