Bhandara Bypass on NH-53 Boosts Connectivity and Cuts City Congestion in Maharashtra

Bhandara-Bypass
The 14.8 km six-lane Bhandara Bypass on NH-53 in Maharashtra has eased heavy traffic inside Bhandara city by diverting vehicles toward the Nagpur–Raipur corridor. The bypass has reduced congestion, lowered fuel consumption and emissions, and improved logistics efficiency for faster movement of goods.

A major highlight is the bridge over the Wainganga River, which removes a key bottleneck on the Surat–Kolkata Highway. The project has also eliminated blind spots near Paldi and Bhilewada villages, improving road safety while supporting trade and regional economic growth.
