Benguluru gets ₹9,771-cr infrastructure booster

infrastructure booster
The Karnataka government has announced an allocation of ₹9,771 crore for multiple infrastructure projects in and around Benguluru city. Out of the total allocation, ₹8,772 crore has been earmarked for overall development and ₹999 crore for solid waste management. The CM has committed that the Nava Nagarothana scheme, which was slated to be taken up last year, will be started this year. Bengaluru's three main problems are chaotic planning, mobility crisis and crumbling solid waste management system. The government has also announced over ₹5,550 crore for the Cauvery Phase V project, which will supply 775 million litres of water to Bengaluru, and ₹1,000 crore for upgrading sewage treatment plants (STPs).
