Bengaluru to Get 175 km of New Metro Lines by 2026: Karnataka Deputy CM

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar announced plans for 175 km of new metro lines to be operational in Bengaluru by 2026, with 30 km expected to be completed by 2025. During an inspection of the recently extended line from Nagasandra to Madavara, Shivakumar mentioned ongoing discussions with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for an underpass at Madavara metro station. Additional plans include constructing a pedestrian skywalk at Manjunathanagar metro station and a pedestrian passage at Yeshwanthpur railway station in collaboration with Indian Railways.
