In order to ensure smooth movement of vehicular traffic Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) in a recent move has proposed to build grade separators and underpasses at three busy junctions in the city entailing an investment worth Rs.421 crore, said official sources claiming that BBMP proposed the construction of 14 grade separators and it will now send the proposal to the government for consideration. The new proposal entailed the construction of second-level grade separators at Sumanahalli Junction on Magadi Road, West of Chord Road at Manjunath Nagar and a stretch between Audugodi and Sarjapura Road Junction on Hosur Road as these junctions have been identified by a consultancy deputed for the purpose.
