In an attempt to ensure trouble free transport system in the area, the state government in Karnataka has announced the construction of a new bridge between Indiranagar and Medahalli in the KR Puram constituency area in Bangaluru at an investment of ₹200 crore, said an official spokesperson, elaborating that the distance between two points is 12 km and the road stretch is routinely facing perennial traffic snarls and the planned bridge project will go a long way in solving and streamlining the vehicular traffic. He further said adding that apart from the bridge, the upcoming Metro and suburban rail project will also solve the traffic related problems to a greater extent.
