Bangalore plans Rs. 957-cr Bridge Project

Basaveshwara Circle Hebbal Flyover
The Bangalore Development Authority in a recent move has decided to build the Basaveshwara Circle-Hebbal Flyover using concrete at an investment of Rs. 957cr. The Indian Roads Congress (IRC) technical committee has suggested in its detailed project report (DPR), uploaded on the website by the Bangalore Development Authority. The initial 6.7 km structure, also found the proposed project time span as 549 days but the latest report concluded that it can be completed in less than 300 days. The cost, which was worked out by the IRC concluded that the six-lane, 24.2 meter-wide and 6,687 meter-long main structure will cover a total area of 1,61,825.4 sq. meters, thereby adding another 41,973 sq. meters of ramp area and the total plan area will be 2,03,798.4 sq. meters. The flyover cost at Rs. 35,000 per sq. meter of plan area has been worked out to be Rs. 713.30cr.
