The Mumbai-based fund manager ASK Group, in a recent move, has plans to launch a ₹1,000 crore domestic property fund once the lockdown is lifted. The company feels there is good demand from first time homebuyers and developers need capital in the current scenario, said managing director, Sunil Rohokale. He informed that the group is also planning to launch an offshore property fund as risk reward ratios are attractive now and the company will invest in good quality projects focusing on first-time home buyers. He added that with developers' expectations coming down, opportunities have increased, and to bridge the gap the group will aim at doubling its investment value in the next three to four years. ASK group has ₹700 crore to invest in projects in the next six months.
