Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw flagged off two new train services — Train No. 11631/32 Bhopal–Dhanbad–Bhopal Tri-Weekly Express and Train No. 11633/34 Bhopal–Chopan–Bhopal Weekly Express — from Rail Bhawan, New Delhi, enhancing rail connectivity in Madhya Pradesh and neighbouring states.

The new trains will provide direct connectivity to key stations including Vidisha, Ganj Basoda, Bina, Sagar, Damoh, Katni Murwara, Beohari, Singrauli, Chopan, Chandrapura and Dhanbad. The services will strengthen links between Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand, while connecting the Singrauli coalfields and industrial hubs with Bhopal.

The improved connectivity is expected to support trade, mining and energy sectors across the region. The minister stated that railway development in Madhya Pradesh has accelerated significantly, with projects worth around Rs 48,000 crore sanctioned during the Prime Minister’s third term.
